When was the last time you took a bath? I’ve never been a big bathtub-bather, but if each bath time resulted in a surreal escapade such as the ones below, I might be apt to dip my toe in more often (or not). This week, let’s write your character a bath. But not one of those boring, relaxing ones. Let’s write them a surreal bath.
Domenico Gnoli, Woman Sole in Bath Tub from What is A Monster? series, 1967. India ink, tempera, acrylic on cardboard. Yannick and Ben Jakober Collection, Mallora, Spain.
Ruth Ray, The Runaway Bathtub, 1974. Oil on canvas.
Frida Kahlo, What the Water Gave Me, 1938. Oil on canvas. Collection of Daniel Filipacchi, Paris, France.
