Three Things: Dream Edition

2011 April 11

I woke up this morning from a dream that I can no longer remember, apart from the overall impression that it was very weird, and that it somehow involved a tiger and a long journey. Sounds intriguing, right? I wish I could remember it to tell you. But fear not, I’ve got three (even stranger) dreams here for you to narrate instead. This week, we’re going for surreal.

Odilon Redon, The Fall of Icarus, 1876. Oil on canvas.

Herbert Bayer, In Search of Times Past, 1959. Photograph.

George Tooker, Subway, 1950. Egg tempera on composition board. Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.

P.S. Don’t forget to submit to Open Mic!
