Three Things: Summer Adieu Edition

2011 August 29

One week remaining until the official close of summer. Here’s hoping your summer season was appropriately sun-filled, and that your final week will end with proper celebration. I’ll not wax on, but instead leave you with three summery things as fond farewell, and (why not?) a bit of Shakespeare for good measure (The Merchant of Venice, II.vii):

Then, farewell, heat, and welcome, frost!
Portia, adieu. I have too grieved a heart
To take a tedious leave […]

P.S. In the hope that no one will be on a computer anyway, and instead be frolicking outside or tending the grill, Three Things will not appear next week, returning the Monday following Labor Day.
