Event Navigation
In honor of the 100-year anniversary of Vision Loss Resources, their clients, students, alumni, family and friends wanted to express themselves. The Way We See It: A Fresh Look at Vision Loss is an anthology of 65 original stories, essays and poems about the struggles and triumphs of people living with vision loss or blindness. The authors live in or near the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area, and they run the gamut of professions and ages, from a 12-year-old boy to a professor to a parent to a wellness coach. They offer accounts that paint vision loss with a palette of positive emotions and outcomes that may surprise readers. The writers’ ability to deal with adversity is celebrated while they all acknowledge the continued challenges of their conditions.
Their stories and experiences after vision loss are humorous, frightening, heartwarming, and challenging.
