The Minnesota literary community knows how to party.
The Gala has been called a “glittery celebration of all things book.” Autographs, wine, live music and the announcement of the award-winners, make for an unforgettable evening.
This year, the ever-charming Jeff Kamin (Books and Bars moderator) returns as the emcee and innovative jazz trio The Willie August Project will provide the music.
7:00 p.m. – Opening reception
Meet the finalists, book sales and signings, and cash bar.
8:00 p.m. – Awards ceremony
Wine and refreshments, celebrity presenters, and more.
9:30 p.m. – After-party
Champagne, desserts, live music and mingle with winners and finalists.
Awards will be presented to the winner in each of the categories as well as the Readers’ Choice Award; the Book Artist Award – 2012 honoree Cave Paper; the Kay Sexton Award – 2012 honoree Allan Kornblum; and the inaugural Hognander Minnesota History Award.
