Richard Ford is the Pulitzer Prize and PEN/Faulkner Award-winning author of Independence Day, The Sportswriter and The Lay of the Land. Ford also has written three collections of short fiction and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, Esquire, Granta and The New Yorker, among other magazines and journals. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, he has taught at Williams, Princeton, Harvard, and Northwestern. His new novel, Canada, tells the story of a young boy from Montana going to live with a family friend in Saskatchewan.
This event is free and open to the public. Reading and discussion will be held in Pohland Hall. Seating is first come, first serve; doors open at 6:15.
